Reframing the DEI Storm: How HCC Continues to be "Good Neighbors"

The Central Illinois CPCU Society Chapter is pleased to deliver this free hybrid luncheon presentation on April 24, 2025. 

Dr. Terrance Bond, Heartland Community College, will share how Heartland Community College has responded to challenges directed towards their institutional values of equity, diversity, and inclusion and facilitate a discussion with participants on how to reframe our work to ensure we are meeting the needs of everyone across our communities.

** Lunch begins at 11:15 and the meeting starts at 11:40.

** There is an in-person option and a Zoom option for this event. Register by EOD Wednesday, April 16th.

Speaker:

Dr. Terrance Bond is an Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion strategist with over 20 years of experience in higher education and industry. Originally from Milwaukee, WI, he holds a B.A. in comparative studies in religion from UW–Eau Claire and both an M.S. and Ph.D. in higher education administration from Illinois State University.

Since joining Heartland Community College in 2017, he has served in several leadership roles, including Title IX Coordinator and now Assistant to the President for Equity and Effectiveness. Terrance is known for his inquisitive approach to equity work, helping educators and leaders reflect and grow toward inclusive practice.
